
After a successful summer of activities, Get Up and Go is pleased to announce the return of the ‘Introduction to Boxing’ course, starting Wednesday 1 November. The course is open to any women aged 18 or over.
A six-week boxing course for women is at Bessey’s Gym (within Leigh Park) - only £10 for the entire course! Lessons are held each Wednesday from 5:30 pm – 6:30 pm.
Led by experienced coach Zoe, the course will work through the basics of boxing, and help to improve strength, fitness, confidence, and mental wellbeing. Complete beginners are welcome – no prior experience is necessary!
One resident who took part in a previous boxing course said “I have always wanted to try boxing but didn't know how to get into it as I am not very fit and have health problems. I attended the first women's boxing classes and have started the second course. I thoroughly enjoy the classes. Zoe is brilliant and very understanding of my health restriction.”
