Havant Borough Council invites residents to attend its second annual Dementia Information Day event - helping those living with Dementia and their carers, families, and friends seek support and advice from local charities and organisations.
This free drop-in event - organised by Havant Borough Council, Havant Borough Dementia CIO, and Dementia Friendly Hampshire - will take place on Friday 28 June from 10:00am to 2.00pm at Horizon Leisure Centre (Civic Centre Road, Havant, PO9 2AY).
The event will consist of a marketplace of 20+ stalls and information stands, which will provide dementia-related support. Local organisations taking part in the event include: Dementia Friendly Hampshire, Age Concern, Recapture Life, The Spring Arts and Heritage Centre, and others.
There will also be various talks, including:
- An interactive session on Wills and Powers of Attorney
- Advice on avoiding scams and a Tech Café
- Experience from someone living with Dementia and their carer
- Dementia advice and support
A range of exercise, craft, and gardening taster sessions will be taking place, as well as a live choir, and more. Take a look at the full programme of events.
