Help make a place – at the Place-making event
The revitalisation and rejuvenation of Havant Town Centre is top priority for the newly formed Havant Town Partnership Board, and they are asking for your ideas.
Residents, business owners and shoppers are invited to attend an interactive event to help shape the future of the town centre.
Taking place from 5pm until 8pm on Monday 26 February at The Spring Arts and Heritage Centre, PO9 1BS the event will allow those most passionate about the area to share their ideas on everything from public spaces and green areas to local businesses and cultural initiatives.
Working alongside Havant Borough Council, the Havant Town Partnership Board will also be calling on a wealth of expertise from Professor Steve Millington, Director of the Institute of Place Management on how to make the area more attractive and fit for the future.
The Leader of Havant Borough Council, Councillor Alex Rennie, said “This event is open to anyone who has ideas on how to make our town centre more vibrant and appealing, for now and the future.
“This is the perfect opportunity to come together and share your thoughts and collaborate with like-minded individuals, everyone's input is invaluable.
“Together, we can create a town centre that truly reflects the needs and desires of our community.”
Havant Town Centre was one of 68 local authorities to be selected to receive support from the High Streets Task Force, a government initiative to help redefine the high street, helping to overcome challenges and unlock potential.
