If you are caring for or supporting someone who is dying, or who wants to plan for their end of life care, NHS Choices has a supportive guide for people approaching the end of their life. This includes how and where people want to be cared for, financial issues, planning ahead and searching for local hospices.

Bereavement Care offers free services such as one-to-one support, wellbeing groups and friendship groups. You can call them on 08081 691 922.

The Loss Foundation is the only UK charity dedicated solely to providing bereavement support following the death of a loved one to cancer, whether that be your spouse, family member, friend or colleague. You can get support online or by calling 0300 200 4112.

Cruse provides bereavement support following the death of a loved one on 01264 336006 (North Hampshire) or 0844 879 3448 (South Hampshire).

Survivors of Bereavement by Suicide (SOBS) has local groups in Hampshire.

Sands national stillbirth and neonatal death charity has a freephone helpline and regional support groups. Call 0808 164 3332.

The Compassionate Friends support bereaved parents and their families.

Death positive libraries is a service located in five Hampshire library locations. They aim to remove the barriers to talking about death and dying, offering books, resources and trained staff to provide guidance.
