Havant Borough Council is proud to promote cycling in the borough
According to the 2021 census, 12.1% of adults in the Borough cycle at least once a month, and 8.2% at least once a week. Commuter cycling (at least 5 days a week) at 1.2% has dropped significantly in the past decade, but this may be due to changes in commuting behaviour as a result of the pandemic.
We are therefore investing in infrastructure which helps people to make the choice to travel on foot or by bike where appropriate.
Cycle Network Maps
Nestled between the South Downs and the Solent, there is a wealth of great cycling routes throughout the borough which are highlighted in our cycle maps. There are two versions - a PDF file to download, or our new interactive map hosted by Pindar Creative, which includes in-map links to information about many destinations in the borough (e.g. schools, railway stations, cycle shops).

The map covers the Borough and Rowlands Castle, and includes details of existing and planned cycle facilities at the time of publication in spring 2024
