Waterlooville Town Centre Masterplan

Havant Borough Council is developing a masterplan for Waterlooville Town Centre. Using an external project team of planners, designers and architects, the masterplan will provide a vision and plan for future regeneration.  It will be used to identify key areas of growth, future development and identify improvements to the local economy, town centre precinct and its surrounding areas.

The next stage of engagement for Waterlooville Town Centre is now live and we want to hear your views on proposed improvements to the public realm.

The council has produced a series of proposed designs for potential public realm improvements in the town centre. These are a direct result of your feedback - earlier in the Masterplan process, you told us that there needs to be more greenery and a more appealing design to this area and we now want to hear from you on what your preferred option would be.

Find out more information about the proposed options and how you can vote on the Waterlooville Town Centre Public Realm Improvements.

Waterlooville Town Centre Vacant Shop Scheme

We are working with businesses and organisations to transform empty shops in the Waterlooville Town Centre, to create long-term solutions and encourage a wider offer to the community of Waterlooville.

Eligible projects could receive a grant ranging from £1,000 to £50,000, depending on the size of the property, to spend on capital works to bring empty shop units back into use.

The proposed projects are required to be in the Waterlooville Vacant Shop Scheme Zone and can be from either start-up businesses or expanding businesses.

We want to encourage new uses and create a vibrant and animated atmosphere, including a wider mix of shops and facilities in the centre of our communities.

We have £150,000 of funding allocated to the Waterlooville Vacant Shop Scheme and are making an open call to businesses and organisations looking to secure funding for their customer facing businesses to assist with fitout costs.

Proposals from retail, food and beverage, leisure, hospitality, arts and culture as well as professional services including health providers are being encouraged.
